With performance as its only the criteria, the Corona’s design combines an all-new last with a low volume laced upper – patched with extra rubber for ‘frogging’ ‘scrubbing’ and hooking – to create a modern masterpiece.

This shoes ability to push, pull, press, power and perform on the tiniest of nubbins, ripples, smears and dime edges has wowed our testers who seem universally to feel that this is Red Chili’s best shoe yet.

Power is placed via a sharp asymmetric toe and super thin toebox which laces superbly, binding the foot creating a solidity that gives total confidence. A new toe patch and extra rubber over the arch helps to lockdown the foot and also allows more of the shoe to be used in the most extreme situations yet keeps the closeness and feel that’s needed – boulders and comp climbers note!
