Wild Country Karabiners

Sometimes it seems like it'd be easier to redesign the wheel than to do something new with karabiners.
However, this arch utilitarian piece of kit is also one of those items that because of its very ubiquitousness makes innovation obvious - we are so used to seeing and using them that any difference really stands out.

Thus when Wild Country designed and built the Helium 'Cleanwire' four years ago everyone was (and still is) blown away by it's swaggering beauty and the combination of it's incredible lightweight and practical solidity.

However, not everything can be a Helium, and Wild Country's aim with its rock climbing karabiner designs is to produce a wide and practical range, which contains both ends of the spectrum, from value to votewinner - suiting all pockets and all styles of climbing.

So for 2008 the emphasis has been on broadening the Wild Country range to meet this criteria and with our two new units the amazing new Xenon Lite and Titan 2 Keylock biners they help complete our family of Biners and Quickdraws.

As well as these the updated hot forged Synergy Lite and Titan 2 screwgates, both notchless nosed Keylocks really add a new dimension to the choices available form Wild Country this season.

Quickdraws

The QD is the backbone of the modern rock climbing rack and Wild Country is proud to offer a wide selection of off the peg units to suit all purposes and pockets.
All Wild Country quickdraws are anodised and for safety they are also 'rope end indentified' i.e. the red one is meant to always take the rope. The idea being that, especially with wiregate QDs, the end which may get chewed up a bolt is more easily identified and kept away from the rope.
All QDs are on our own specified Dyneema, either in 10mm~0.38” or 12mm~0.47” widths.
The 10mm tape goes onto our more extreme units and simply enhances their lightweight and carryability, whilst the slightly more robust 12mm complements our other biners.
All Qds are offered in 10cm 4” / 15cm 6” / 20cm 8” lengths so whether you're trad climbing or a sports nut we got the right size unit for your clips.
